Repainted my toes

I've been so busy with classes lately! Learning acrylics now and I got praises from my teacher! he he he. Since young, I've always had a thing with brushes and colours... I love the way the monomer reacts with the polymer and I have to use the brush to create the sculpture...

Okie, I think you're lost and don't understand what I'm talking about.

Now, pics on my own toes. Did them yesterday night. I love the flowers I drew! Got Japanese Sakura feeling....... (I love singlish. haha) and the flowers go very well with the nail polish! Using OPI - My private jet.

OPI - Black Cherry Chutney

Did a classic pedicure with a foot scrub plus 2 nail art on the big toes. This customer of mine prefers to have long long long long long toe nails. Unfortunately some of nails chipped and therefore I have to file it down slightly to make them equal in length. IMO, I still think they're long but she likes them this way. As long as she's happy. (:

I really like this colour! It's actually dark dark purple-ish shimmer-ish black-ish. Got it?

My toes

I did my own pedicure before I went Phuket. Holiday nails! Somehow I managed to make my own toes look retarded in the photo.... ha ha. Gold gold colour with black french with tiny polka dots! 2 photos below. I think the close up pic looks better. Can see details!

Ok I'll blog regularly... :)

Chocolate Mousse

Been busy with lessons ever since I'm back from Phuket. Especially since I'm learning acrylic now. Anyway, pics!

I applied cuticle oil and took the photo, this explains why the nails looked slighty matte. It's actually very shiny cos it's Seche's top coat! I love that top coat... quick dry and superb finishing.

A closer view. This lady has very nice nails and this colour compliments her fingers! Using OPI-Chocolate Mousse.

Handpainted Roses

I actually started off with painting the red for my assignment but decided to change another shade of red. Not wanting to waste the nail tips, I put what I learn into use and painted roses on it! I think this will be popular for CNY! ha ha ha. I'll try to create another set using greyish white as the nail colour and paint the roses black. I think it will have a different feeling altogether.

Leaving for Phuket with my ex colleagues in the morning! I'll be back next Monday, 18th Aug. Appointments resume when I'm back!

OPI - I only drink champagne + Chicago get a manicure!

I did 2 sets of nails today. One looks very champagne and I heart that colour! The other is more reddish purplish and it suits the person very much!

Click the pictures to enlarge!

OPI - Chicago get a manicure!
The picture is not really showing the actual colour. Close but not the exact shade. The colour is more like mixing purple and red together. But still, nice shade! I love all the colours with a tinge of red. Simple doggy footprints and dots as the nail art. Very cute hor? Ha.

OPI - I only drink champagne
This lady came to me with short fingernails and asked me to choose a nail colour + nail art for her. I chose this champagne colour cos it will compliment her short fingernails! You don't need to have long fingernails to have it painted! Short is nice too. Hand drawn the little black flowers to match the champagne colour. She's also a future makeup artist... thus she needs to have nice nails to hold the makeup brushes... ha ha.

More Nail Polishes!

I went to collect my nail polishes earlier from my cousin who is back from US. So many colours!! I spent so much time arranging the polishes on the shelve, painting the colours on fake tips (easier for customers to see), taking pics... It took me around 3 hours!

I took pictures of different views of my polishes.

The reds.....

ORLY's Sugar Coated Series. Pastel colours. Sweet sweet!

Chocolatey French Tips

Edible toes!! Like marshmallow chocolates! I'm a big fan of french tips cos it's simple yet beautiful. I like to create that curve in french tips rather than just drawing a straight white tip across the fingernail. I guess that's what salons do cos it's much easier.

Nice nice nice.......

My simple nails

I painted my nails last Tuesday cos I trimmed my own cuticles last Sunday and I thought that it would be such a waste to have nicely trimmed cuticles and nicely shaped nails and not have any nail polish on. (such a long sentence!) I have very small fingernails.. not nice at all. And the thing bout painting my own nails is that I need to utilise my left hand. Super difficult. Getting a bit long-winded here.

The base is OPI Honeymoon Sweet. French tips using TINS - the prestige champagne.
Might not be that fanciful after all but I'm happy that I can manage to paint my own nails and make them look clean.

deadbeat

Tired tired tired tired.... ok, I'm so not used to waking up early (and 830am is considered early for me cos I'm used to sleeping at 4am) for lessons from 1030am to 530pm!!

Just need to grumble even though I know it's irrelevant to nails.

Tomorrow I'm having my 1st practical lesson on Acrylics. I know it's not easy to master all the acrylic extensions, sculpture... etc but I'll make sure I'll practise till I'm perfect!

Since I'm working from home, I can always give my full attention to my customer and ensure that their nails will be nicely done up.

Another thing, I thought of having regular nail parties (since my ex-colleagues and I will gather once in every month or so at Hilton) for those who find it incovenient to travel to Yishun. I'll plan on this further.

I can't wait to learn acrylics and gel! And I WANT TO HAVE NAILS LIKE those featured in Jap magazines!!

Oh, I painted my own nails on Tues. I thought it's kinda cute. haha. Will post tomorrow.

Nights.

ORLY - Coffee Break

Helped my mama to repaint her toes yesterday. This time round we tried a lighter colour.

Using ORLY - Coffee Break. Looks very nude hor? Very refreshing and clean. For people who likes their nails to look clean, this is the colour for you! I think this colour will look even better on people who have fair skin.

Hand drawn the little yellow flowers.

I have class tonight again and I got my full time-schedule already! I will be able to finish everything by END SEPTEMBER! This means....... I can do nice nice extensions and all the 3D nail art, Gel.......etc very very soon!

Back from Hilton nails + alcohol party part 2

Pictures!

A close-up.

Her virgin pedicure after 30 over years. ha. Lots of satisfaction after removing all her cuticles!
Using OPI - Siberian Nights. It looks like black colour in the picture but it's actually a very dark cream purple colour under daylight.

I like this black-greyish-shimmerish colour!! Using one layer of TiNS - the saturn and another layer of OPI - the private jet (this colour alone is a sheer shimmerish grey). Turns out really nice.

Oh her big toes are veryyyy curved in towards the flesh. I need to pinch down the flesh extra hard to paint it!! Just complaining a little.

Back from Hilton nails + alcohol party part 1

Went to stay at Hilton hotel on Friday with my cousins and nanny (actually my ex-colleagues). It's our get together session once in every 1 or 2 months. Always just pure nonsense, jumping around, shouting, yakking, laughing... but happy!!

Anyway I did pedicures for the 2 ladies. Brought all my stuffs for the pedicure and I actually called Housekeeping for a PAIL!! ha ha ha. A tub would be ideal cos they would need to soak their feet but then.... how to carry a tub to take MRT har? Ok, housekeeping called me back and asked why would I need a pail, I answered saying I need it to soak my feet. (they must be thinking that I'm so dumb. ha.)

I took pics of their feet even though it's just classic pedi. No nailart cos I forgot all bout my nail art pens!!

More pics and stories tomorrow!

Nights (:
